Online Platform for Voluntary Repatriation Registration Launched at Sudanese Embassy in Cairo

Cairo, March 15, 2026 (SUNA) — The Sudanese Embassy in Cairo on Sunday launched an online platform for the registration and organization of voluntary repatriation convoys for Sudanese refugees in Cairo under the umbrella of Al-Amal (Hope) Committee for Voluntary Return. The launch followed a meeting attended by Sudan’s Ambassador to Egypt Imad-Eddin Adawi, his deputy Omer Al-Farouq, and Military Adviser Amin Ismail Majzoub. The event was also attended by Ambassador and artist Ali Mahdi.Chairman of Al-Amal Committee, Mohamed Wada’a, attended the launch along with committee members Muntasir Omar, Ayman Abu Al-Wafa, Mohamed Abbas, and Asim Al-Bilal.The step comes as part of comprehensive preparations to begin repatriation convoys after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday.
