Salt, August 16 (Petra) –The overall pass rate of Shamel exam, the
annual comprehensive final exam for community college students, for
the 2026 last summer session stood at 72.90%, Al-Balqa Applied
University (BAU) announced on Sunday.
In its announcement, the BAU said a total of 2,605 students
registered for the exam, 2,591 of whom sat for at least one paper,
while 14 others were absent from all exams.
The last session covered 107 academic and applied specializations,
overseen by 52 university and intermediate university colleges.
The BAU added that a total of 1,899 students “successfully” completed
graduation requirements.
Based on the application process, students who applied for improving
their scores achieved the highest success rate at 92.7%, while the
ratio for regular students reached 79.1%.
The average for last-chance test takers stood at 72.8%, and repeaters
at 66.8%.
The BAU noted that success rate for repeat students reached 61.4%.
