AMMAN, Aug. 26 (Petra) – A group of pediatric patients and their
companions returned to the Gaza Strip on Wednesday morning via the
King Hussein Bridge after completing their medical treatment in
Jordanian hospitals under the “Jordanian Medical Corridor” initiative
launched by the Kingdom to provide healthcare for 2,000 children from
Gaza.

The returning cohort comprised 20 children accompanied by 48 family
members. During their stay in the Kingdom, they received
comprehensive medical care in accordance with the highest clinical
standards, following their prior evacuation to Jordan by the Jordan
Armed Forces–Arab Army in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and
the World Health Organization.

The children’s families expressed their profound gratitude and
appreciation to His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Jordan Armed
Forces–Arab Army for their humanitarian and medical efforts in
providing healthcare to the people of the Gaza Strip, praising the
high standard of medical care and services their children received
throughout their treatment in Jordanian hospitals.

The “Jordanian Medical Corridor” initiative forms part of the
Kingdom’s ongoing relief and humanitarian efforts aimed at
alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza
Strip.

The repatriation of patients and their companions to Gaza upon the
completion of their treatment is designed to clear capacity for the
evacuation of subsequent batches of patients requiring specialized
care in Jordanian hospitals.

This procedure underscores Jordan’s steadfast and enduring position
in supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people on their own
land.
