London, Feb 19 (Petra) – UK Minister of State for Development at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Anneliese Dodds, has voiced deep concern over the current situation of Palestinian children in East Jerusalem, stressing that education is a fundamental right for them.
“Essential education for Palestinian children in East Jerusalem is provided by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA),” Dodds said in a post on her X account.
“The Israeli order to close its schools and the immediate evacuation of the Kalandia Training Centre is deeply worrying. Children’s access to education must continue uninterrupted,” she added.
