Amman, May 20 (Petra) – Chairman of the Parliamentary Economic and Investment Committee, MP Khaled Abu Hassan, met Tuesday with a Chinese economic delegation to explore opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation and launching joint projects.
Abu Hassan underscored the importance of strengthening Jordanian-Chinese partnerships, noting that Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision seeks to boost growth rates and open new markets for national exports. He highlighted Jordan’s favorable investment climate, supported by a strong legislative framework and unique tourism offerings.
He called for activating joint economic initiatives with China and advancing cooperation across various sectors, including revitalizing parliamentary diplomacy to support these efforts.
Abu Hassan also emphasized Jordan’s role in promoting regional stability, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, particularly regarding efforts to halt the aggression on the Gaza Strip. He added that Jordan is well-positioned to contribute to Syria’s reconstruction, given the expertise of its contracting sector.
The Chinese delegation praised the long-standing relations between the two countries, describing them as deep-rooted and resilient.
They highlighted Jordan’s strategic location and tourism potential, expressing interest in implementing development projects that would foster economic growth and strengthen trade ties.
