Petra, Dec. 3 (Petra) – The Chairperson of Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, Fares Braizat, met on Wednesday with the Korean Cultural Attaché in Amman, Gyoyeon Lee, to discuss avenues for enhancing cooperation.
The two sides explored the possibility of organizing joint cultural programs and activities between the Petra Region and the Korean Embassy during the coming year, in a step that would strengthen cultural exchange and promote Petra internationally as a leading tourist destination.
During the meeting, Braizat underscored the importance of international cultural partnerships in supporting tourism and enhancing Petra’s position as a global destination that combines historical heritage with cultural diversity. He also highlighted the positive development of Jordanian-Korean relations across various fields.
For his part, the Korean Cultural Attaché stressed the Embassy’s keenness to open avenues for future cultural and artistic cooperation with the Petra Region Authority, in a way that contributes to introducing the Korean public to Petra’s unique cultural heritage.
