PNC: Occupation’s Massacres in Gaza Represent Dangerous Escalation in Its Genocide PolicyRamallah, 14 May (ONA) — Chairman and Speaker of the Palestinian National Council (PNC) Rawhi Fattouh stated that the massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Jabalia, northern Gaza, killing over 45 Palestinians, including women and children, and leaving hundreds trapped under rubble, marks a grave escalation in Israel’s policy of genocide and ethnic cleansing.
In a statement issued today by the PNC, Fattouh said that the targeting of children and women with warplanes, the bombing of hospitals, and the killing of more than 100 Palestinians within 24 hours, amid a suffocating siege and the absence of healthcare, constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.
He stressed the urgent need for a practical international and United Nations (UN) response to stop the brutal aggression against a defenseless population, to provide international protection from genocide and ethnic cleansing, and to take immediate and effective measures to hold the perpetrators of these crimes accountable.— Ends/Khalid
