Amman, August 9 (Petra) – The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) handled
121 cases and arrested 187 people during the second week of a
crackdown on crystal meth, the Public Security Directorate (PSD)
announced Sunday.
Authorities arrested 66 suspected traffickers across 38 cases and
detained 121 users nationwide, seizing various quantities of crystal
meth.
The PSD pointed to crystal meth’s link to violent crime and public
safety risks.
Officials urged Jordanians to assist law enforcement by reporting
information to the emergency hotline 911, assuring that all tips will
remain strictly confidential.
