Popular Resistance in Sennar Deploys More Than 8,000 Mobilized Volunteers Across All Combat Fronts

Chairman of the Popular Resistance in Sennar State, Major General (Rtd) Al-Nour Abdel-Rahman Saeed affirmed the resistance’s role in supporting the Sudanese Armed Forces across all fronts, stating that it had deployed more than 8,000 mobilized volunteers in various areas of combat. Speaking at the SUNA Forum in Sennar on Thursday evening, Saeed said that the Popular Resistance in Sennar had contributed alongside the Sudanese Armed Forces to the liberation of Sennar State and neighboring states, advancing as far as the borders of Kordofan. He noted that the Popular Resistance operates under military laws and regulations, in addition to its civilian support role. He praised the steadfastness of the Armed Forces across the country’s various combat fronts and congratulated them on the victories achieved. Saeed reviewed the duties and responsibilities of the Popular Resistance, which include military and civilian support, stressing that coordination with the State Security Committee is well organized. He said the resistance mobilizes, trains and classifies young people before arming them according to their capabilities. He further highlighted the Popular Resistance’s role in organizing convoys to combat areas, providing support, treating the wounded, caring for the families of fallen personnel and organizing public mobilization campaigns during religious holidays. For his part, Major General (Rtd) Mohamed Al-Ajab, Deputy Chairman of the Mobilization and Popular Resistance Committee in Sennar State and representative of the Civil Support Committee, highlighted the growing role of civilian support and the resistance’s extensive service activities.BH/BH
