NNA – RAMALLAH, Saturday, April 27, 2024 (WAFA) ndash; President Mahmoud Abbas today appreciated Spainrsquo;s principled and consistent positions on the Palestinian Question.

In a letter he addressed to Spainrsquo;s Prime Minister, Pedro Saacute;nchez, President Abbas expressed his appreciation to Spain for its longstanding and principled positions on the Palestinian Question throughout decades of legitimate struggle.

He also appreciated Spainrsquo;s support for just peace and stability in the region, particularly given the ongoing Israeli genocidal offensive against the Gaza Strip, as well as its recurrent calls for an immediate ceasefire and contribution to alleviating the catastrophic situation affecting the Palestinian people through providing unlimited relief and humanitarian aid.

He also commended Spain for its valuable efforts aimed at recognizing the independent State of Palestine and implement the two-state solution.

He affirmed to the Spanish Prime Minister Saacute;nchez that he and the Palestinian people werenbsp;fully confident that thanks tonbsp;his wisdom and expertise as well as to his countryrsquo;s approach to justice and respecting human rights, Saacute;nchez would take the appropriate decision, in line with Spainrsquo;s interest, to achieve international peace and stability.
