Price of 21-karat gold hits JD68 per gram in local market

Amman, May 24 (Petra) — Prices of 21-karat gold, the highest demand at the local market, stood at JD68 per gram as a purchasing price, against JD66 as a selling price, an official said Saturday.

According to the Jordan Jewelers Association’s Secretary General, Ribhy Allan, the price of 24-karat, 18-karat, and 14-karat gold amounted to JD78, JD60, and JD47, respectively.

The price of a Rashadi lira, weighing seven grams, stood at JD477, while an English lira, which weighs eight grams, reached JD545, Allan added.
