KHARTOUM, June 9, 2026 (SUNA) — The Prime Minister, Dr. Kamil Idris, met Tuesday with the delegation of Al-Gezira State Education Mobilization Campaign. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Education and National Pedagogy, Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zain Hajar, the Minister of Minerals, Nour Al-Dayem Taha, and the Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mr. Nizar Abdallah Mohamed. During the meeting, His Excellency affirmed the government’s commitment to addressing all challenges facing the education sector in Al-Gezira State, particularly with regard to filling teacher shortages and working on the reconstruction and rehabilitation of approximately 20,000 school units. Dr. Kamil Idris also emphasized the government’s keenness to provide school seating units to cover the needs of the state’s schools, thereby contributing to the improvement of the educational environment for students. For its part, Al-Gezira State delegation expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister for responding to their demands and for his continuous efforts to remove all obstacles hindering the education sector in the state.BH/BH
