Doha, August 02 (QNA) – HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone conversation on Sunday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
During the call, the two sides discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to further enhance them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and reinforcing regional security and stability.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy and implementing the understandings reached under the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, in order to safeguard regional security, preserve the progress achieved, and promote regional stability.
His Excellency reaffirmed the State of Qatar’s unwavering support for all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that secures lasting peace in the region. (QNA)
