Doha, July 26 (QNA) – HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Both sides discussed advancing bilateral cooperation and recent regional developments, particularly the enhanced diplomatic efforts and close coordination for de-escalation and strengthening security and stability in the region.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of all parties committing to dialogue and diplomacy and executing what had been concurred upon in the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This, he said, includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard the security of the region and the gains achieved, as well as enhancing regional stability.
His Excellency reiterated the State of Qatar’s full supports for all ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions and reach a comprehensive accord that achieves enduring peace in the region. (QNA)
