Doha, July 19 (QNA) – HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Sunday HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye Hakan Fidan, who is currently visiting the country.
The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation relations and explored ways to strengthen and enhance them.
It also discussed the latest regional developments, particularly ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalation and promoting security and stability in the region.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy and implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which includes ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz in order to safeguard regional security, preserve the achievements that have been made, and promote regional stability.
His Excellency reaffirmed the State of Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at defusing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that would achieve lasting peace in the region. (QNA)
