Doha, August 25 (QNA) – HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, spoke by phone to discuss deepening and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
They also exchanged views on the latest regional developments, particularly the ongoing discussions between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran on a phased framework that includes establishing a temporary shared navigation route through the Strait of Hormuz and agreeing on a joint project to demine the Strait.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Qatar’s gratitude for the efforts of the brotherly Sultanate of Oman and its full support for its diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and at reinforcing regional stability. (QNA)
