Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Phone Call from Oman’s Foreign Minister

Doha, July 21 (QNA) – HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has received a telephone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi.

The conversation focused on deepening and expanding bilateral relations and the recent regional developments, particularly the enhanced diplomatic efforts and closer coordination for de-escalation and strengthening security and stability in the region.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs underlined the importance of all parties’ committing to diplomacy and executing what had been concurred on in the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He noted that this includes ensuring the freedom of traffic in the Strait of Hormuz and respecting the Sultanate of Oman’s sovereignty over its territorial waters to protect the region’s security as well as the gains achieved and promote regional stability.

HE Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed that the State of Qatar fully backs all endeavors to de-escalate tension and reach a comprehensive agreement that achieves enduring peace in the region. (QNA)
