Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Phone Call From Turkish FM

Doha, July 26 (QNA) – HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye Hakan Fidan to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

The two sides explored ways to boost cooperation between the two nations and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic initiatives aimed at containing tensions and promoting stability in the region.

HE Sheikh Mohammed underscored the need for all parties to adhere to dialogue and diplomacy and honor the commitments agreed under the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He highlighted the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, protecting regional security, safeguarding progress achieved so far, and supporting wider stability.

His Excellency also reaffirmed Doha’s full support for efforts to de-escalate tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that would deliver lasting peace in the region. (QNA)
