Prime Minister Kamil Idris was briefed on the security and public service situation in Kassala State during a meeting in Khartoum with Acting Wali Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Al-Sadig Mohamed Al-Azrag. Speaking after the meeting, the acting wali said discussions focused on key issues affecting livelihoods and infrastructure development in the state, with particular emphasis on healthcare, education, and the financial entitlements of teachers and public employees. He said the prime minister expressed strong commitment to addressing these issues in support of development and stability in Kassala. The meeting also stressed the priority of securing the border, intensifying efforts to combat smuggling and drug trafficking, and addressing the Gash River through lasting solutions to its recurring breaches.BH/BH
