Wadi Halfa, April 1, 2026 (SUNA) — Prime Minister Kamil Idris conducted an inspection visit to the Ashkeit border post, accompanied by the Director-General of the Customs Forces, Lieutenant General (Police) Salah Ahmed Ibrahim, to review operations and procedures for receiving returnees under voluntary repatriation programs.The visit reflects the state’s commitment to overseeing border crossings firsthand and facilitating citizen movement. During the tour, the Prime Minister assessed operational conditions at the post and praised the professionalism of the Customs Forces, highlighting their national role in enforcing border control while ensuring smooth transit and regulatory compliance.
