Khartoum, 29 July 2026 (SUNA) – Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris held a meeting on Wednesday with DAL Group Chairman Osama Daoud and his accompanying delegation to discuss issues related to agricultural and industrial investment. The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Agriculture and Irrigation, Professor Ismat Gurashi; Industry and Trade, Mahasin Ali Yagoub; Energy, Engineer Al-Motasem Ibrahim Ahmed; the Prime Minister’s Special Representative, Dr. Al-Hussein Al-Khalifa Al-Siddiq Al-Hafian; the Prime Minister’s Adviser, Nizar Abdullah Mohamed; and the Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, Rahba Saeed. The meeting was held as part of government efforts to strengthen partnership with the private sector in a way that supports development and advances Sudan’s agricultural and industrial growth. In a press statement, the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation said the meeting discussed the overall challenges and obstacles that had affected agricultural and industrial investment in previous periods, as well as the current challenges facing these two vital sectors. He noted that the Prime Minister directed the preparation of a comprehensive vision to address all obstacles and develop solutions that would positively impact the performance of the agricultural and industrial sectors and boost production across the country. The Minister described the meeting as fruitful and constructive, adding that it resulted in a number of important recommendations that will be implemented soon.BH/BH
