Prime Minister Meets Foreign Journalists

Khartoum, April 10, 2026 (SUNA) – Prime Minister Kamil Idris met on Thursday in Khartoum with a delegation of foreign journalists from Canada, the United States, Germany, and Nigeria. During the meeting, the Prime Minister briefed attendees on developments in the country, underscoring the sustained gains by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), backed by supporting units, their advances across multiple fronts, and their firm grip on the initiative. He also reviewed the ongoing violations committed by the rebel terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, including atrocities against defenceless civilians and the systematic destruction of vital institutions and service facilities. Dr. Idris stressed the importance of strengthening Sudan’s presence in international platforms. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism, Dr. Geraham Abdel-Gadir, stated that the meeting also addressed the government’s initiative to establish peace, security, and stability, alongside efforts to achieve social justice. He added that the discussion addressed efforts to facilitate voluntary returns and deliver essential services in Khartoum State, alongside strategies for managing ethnic and cultural diversity as a source of strength.  The meeting further discussed economic and social development, planning, reconstruction, and rebuilding efforts. In a related context, the Prime Minister gave an interview to the U.S. CBN channel, focusing on stability in the capital Khartoum and the regularity of voluntary return operations.BH/BH
