KHARTOUM, June 30, 2026 (SUNA) — Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris met on Tuesday in Khartoum with Nazir (Chieftain) Mohamed El-Amin Tirik, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Beja Nazirs and Independent Chieftaincies, along with his accompanying delegation. In a press statement, Nazir Tirik said the meeting discussed the overall situation in eastern Sudan, noting stability and the success of efforts to strengthen social peace in the region. He added that the meeting also addressed development projects in eastern Sudan and ways to improve service delivery for the people of the East. Nazir Tirik affirmed their support for the national leadership, led by the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris, during this critical period the country is going through, as well as their support for efforts aimed at achieving national consensus, peace, and stability in the country.BH/BH
