Khartoum, June 5, 2026 (SUNA) – Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris met on Friday evening in Khartoum with the Secretary-General of the Italian Sant’Egidio Community, Paolo Impagliazzo. In a press statement, Paolo expressed solidarity with the Sudanese people affected by the war, noting that the visit marks his second trip to Sudan since the outbreak of the conflict. He voiced sorrow over the scale of destruction caused by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the national capital, Khartoum, while commending the ongoing efforts to restore the city better than before.
