Princess Karma inaugurates Hope Mural children’s art initiative

Amman, August 23 (Petra) – HRH Princess Karma bint Abbas inaugurated
the Hope Mural initiative in Amman on Sunday, an event organized by
the Hareer Leading Organization for Social Development that drew over
1,000 children and families from across Jordan.

The initiative used art to provide psychosocial support, helping
children process emotions and express their aspirations through
painting.

Princess Karma toured the exhibition, met with young participants,
and added her own brushstrokes to the collaborative piece.

Stretching approximately 2,600 meters, the artwork stands as one of
the largest participatory children’s canvases in the Middle East.

The opening day brought together pediatric cancer patients, orphans,
refugees, children from Gaza, youth with disabilities, and low-income
families.

Hareer Organization Executive Director Nihad Dabbas lauded the
collaboration between partners, volunteers, and participants, noting
that “every child contributed a personal story to the collective
work.”

Running through August 25, the Hope Mural program features cultural,
artistic, and recreational activities as families continue adding to
the expansive installation.
