Amman, Dec. 5 (Petra)– The Public Security Directorate (PSD) has urged citizens to exercise caution as the Kingdom braces for an expected spell of unstable weather accompanied by rainfall, which may at times be heavy.
The PSD called on the public to stay away from valleys and areas prone to flash floods, particularly in the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom. It also advised motorists to drive carefully, avoid water-filled areas, and refrain from attempting to cross flooded roads whether on foot or in vehicles.
It further emphasized the importance of safe practices when using heating devices, warning against leaving them on while sleeping and stressing the need for proper home ventilation.
The PSD encouraged the public not to hesitate to contact the unified emergency hot line 911 if assistance is needed.
