Doha, July 26 (QNA) – The Qatar Olympic Academy delivered a wide range of academic programs, professional courses and community initiatives during the first half of 2026, strengthening sports education and professional capacity building in Qatar and across the region.

Between January and June, the Academy delivered a broad range of specialized education and training programs for sports professionals, administrators, coaches, athletes, and sports enthusiasts.

The curriculum covered leadership and management, sports governance, event management, strategic planning, marketing, sustainability, innovation, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence, while strengthening participants’ professional capabilities.

The Academy further expanded its strategic partnerships during the first half of 2026, deepening cooperation with sports organizations, academic institutions, national Olympic committees, sports federations, and educational bodies to advance Olympic and sports education in the region.

The Academy also stepped up its engagement in sports research through specialized conferences and seminars, while expanding its digital outreach to make its programs and initiatives more accessible in Qatar and internationally.

Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber said the Academy’s performance in the first half of 2026 highlighted its commitment to excellence and innovation in Olympic and sports education, adding that it would continue to strengthen national and regional capacities and promote Olympic values in line with international standards.

Al Jaber attributed the Academy’s achievements to the efforts of its staff and its strategic partnerships with sports and academic institutions, adding that growing demand for its programs reflected confidence in its role in developing sports professionals.

He also underscored the importance of representing Qatar and the Qatar Olympic Academy at international forums, saying participation in the National Olympic Academies Forum and cooperation with the Saudi Olympic Academy had strengthened knowledge exchange, promoted Gulf cooperation, and supported the advancement of Olympic education and sustainable sports development.

Al Jaber said the Academy would continue expanding its programs and initiatives, adopting advanced educational technologies, and strengthening its regional and international engagement in support of Qatar’s vision of becoming a global hub for sport, education, and human development. (QNA)
