Doha, March 2 (Petra) – The Qatar Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that the Qatar Emiri Air Force successfully shot down two SU-24 aircraft arriving from Iran, citing high readiness and security vigilance.
According to the official Qatar News Agency (QNA), the ministry confirmed the successful interception of seven ballistic missiles by air defenses and five drones by the Qatar Emiri Air Force and the Qatar Emiri Navy targeting several areas in the state.
The ministry said the threat was dealt with immediately upon detection in accordance with the operations plan, noting that all missiles were downed before reaching their targets.
The statement emphasized that the successful engagement was a result of joint coordination between relevant authorities.
