Doha, May 17 (QNA) – The State of Qatar strongly condemned the drone attack on the sisterly United Arab Emirates, including one drone that targeted Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in Al Dhafra region, describing it as a blatant violation of international law and a serious threat to regional security and stability.
In a statement issued Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks marked a dangerous escalation through the targeting of vital facilities and civilian infrastructure.
The Ministry stressed the need to spare the region the consequences of such unjustified attacks and to intensify efforts aimed at de-escalation in order to restore regional and international security and stability.
It also reiterated Qatar’s full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and its support for all measures taken by the UAE to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its facilities. (QNA)
