Doha, July 17 (QNA) – The State of Qatar has condemned an Iranian attack on Iraq’s Kurdistan Region as a violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and a breach of international law.
A Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement on Friday said the attack represented a “flagrant violation” of the sovereignty of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and warned of its wider consequences on regional stability.
The ministry stressed the need to prevent further repercussions from “unjustified” attacks, urging continued reliance on dialogue and diplomacy, along with efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen regional and international security.
The statement also reaffirmed Doha’s full solidarity with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, expressing support for measures taken to protect their sovereignty and security. (QNA)
