Qatar Tourism Chief Explores Amman Citadel, Eyes Stronger Ties with Jordan

Amman, July 17 (Petra) — Chairman of Qatar Tourism Saad bin Ali Al-Kharji visited the iconic Amman Citadel on Wednesday, accompanied by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Lina Annab. The visit came as part of an official trip to Jordan at the invitation of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

During the tour, the Qatari delegation explored the site’s major historical landmarks and gained insight into the Kingdom’s rich cultural tapestry, shaped by millennia of successive civilizations.

According to a statement from the ministry on Thursday, the visit marks an important step in bolstering tourism collaboration between the two countries. Discussions are underway to launch joint promotional campaigns, share expertise in sustainable tourism marketing, and integrate tourism offerings to better showcase both nations’ unique attractions.

The ministry emphasized that the diversity of tourism experiences in both Jordan and Qatar lays the groundwork for a deeper partnership, one that enhances visitor journeys and draws travelers from around the world to the region.
