Amman, August 20 (QNA) – The Qatar U-19 handball team defeated Saudi Arabia 30-22 on Thursday in the opening round of Group B at the Asian U-19 Handball Championship, currently being held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, through August 31.
Qatar delivered a strong performance in its opening match to earn its first two points and strengthen its chances of continuing the title race.
Qatar will face Kuwait on Friday, in the second round, followed by Iran on Sunday in the third round, before concluding the group stage against Syria on August 24.
The Qatar team looks forward to maintaining its positive results and delivering strong performances in the upcoming matches, further enhancing Qatar handball’s strong presence on the Asian scene. (QNA)
