Doha, August 26 (QNA) – The State of Qatar welcomed the integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the military institutions of the Syrian Arab Republic.
In its statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described this development as an important step towards consolidating civil peace, strengthening security and stability, and building a state governed by institutions and the rule of law.
It also reiterated the State of Qatar’s position that Syria’s stability and prosperity require the state to hold a monopoly on the use of force by having a single army that represents all Syrians, thereby ensuring the preservation of the country’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.
The Ministry also expressed the State of Qatar’s appreciation for Syria’s approach and its concerted efforts to bring all segments of the Syrian people together under state authority.
The Ministry further reaffirmed the State of Qatar’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty and the Syrian people’s aspiration for freedom, development, and prosperity. (QNA)
