Doha, August 25 (QNA) – The State of Qatar welcomed the United States’ decision to remove the Syrian Arab Republic from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the move as a positive development that would support efforts to promote stability in Syria and the wider region and advance the political settlement process in accordance with international resolutions, in a manner that serves the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people.
The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast position in support of Syria’s unity, sovereignty and independence, and reiterated its solidarity with the Syrian people in their efforts to achieve security, stability and prosperity. (QNA)
