Regulatory Framework of Promising Companies Index IssuedMuscat, 10 Aug (ONA) — The Financial Services Authority has issued the regulatory framework for the Promising Companies Index, in implementation of the Royal Decree establishing a sub-index within the Muscat Stock Exchange under the name “Promising Companies Index.” This move comes as part of efforts to develop the legislative and regulatory infrastructure of the capital market sector, enhancing the ability of national companies to access financing tools and preparing them for gradual integration into the main market through well-structured phases. The framework aims to regulate the procedures and conditions for listing promising companies in the new index, enabling startups, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and private and family-owned businesses to benefit from simplified listing and trading mechanisms within a regulatory environment tailored to their nature. It provides financial and operational incentives that support their sustainability and growth. — Ends/AH
