Khartoum, April 19, 2026 (SUNA) — The Sudanese Revolutionary Awakening Council expressed its welcome for the defection of Major General Al-Nour Ahmed Adam “Al-Qubba,” along with a number of officers and soldiers, from the ranks of the rebellious terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, and their joining the ranks of the Sudanese Armed Forces. In a statement issued on Sunday, the Council described the move as a courageous national stance reflecting the prioritization of the higher national interest over any other considerations, and a clear alignment with Sudan’s unity, stability, and sovereignty. It further noted that the step represents an important contribution to strengthening national ranks and supporting efforts to restore security and extend the authority of the state.The Council renewed its call on all members of the Rapid Support Forces militia to emulate this responsible stance.BH/BH
