Amman, Jan. 11 (Petra) – The Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army said the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) carried out precision airstrikes late on Saturday against targets of the Daesh terrorist group at multiple locations inside Syria, as part of coordinated regional and international counterterrorism efforts.
The military said the operations were conducted in coordination with partners under the framework of the international coalition, which includes Syria, and were aimed at disrupting militant capabilities and preventing terrorist groups from re-establishing operational footholds or using the areas to threaten neighboring countries and regional security.
Jordan’s participation reflects its long-standing policy of confronting terrorism and violent extremism, safeguarding national security, and supporting broader efforts to preserve stability across the region, the army added.
