Amman, May 26 (Petra) — The Jordanian Marathon Association (Run Jordan) has completed all logistical and operational preparations for the fourth edition of the Promin Women’s Race, scheduled to take place this Friday at Al-Hussein Public Parks in Amman.
Held under the theme “Run for You,” the event is organized by Run Jordan in partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality and several supporting entities. The race features two categories, a 5.2-kilometer run and a shorter 2.6-kilometer run, with participants expected to gather by 8:00 a.m. and the races set to begin at 9:00 a.m. Races for visually impaired participants will start 10 minutes before each event.
Final arrangements included route marking, the establishment of water stations, and the coordination of volunteer teams to provide support throughout the racecourse. Organizers emphasized that all measures are being taken to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for participants.
Lina Kurd, General Manager of Run Jordan, expressed optimism about this year’s turnout and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to encouraging women’s participation in sports. “This race embodies our mission to empower women through sport and provide an inclusive and encouraging space for all participants,” Kurd said.
She also thanked the event’s partners and sponsors for their continued support, highlighting their role in ensuring the success and sustainability of this annual sporting event.
