Russia Announces Military Drills in Sea of JapanMoscow, 30 Jun (ONA) — The Russian Defense Ministry today announced that forces from the Pacific Fleet conducted military drills in the Sea of Japan, including simulated missile attacks against hypothetical naval targets.
The ministry said in a statement that a group of warships, along with coastal missile systems, carried out a joint missile strike using cruise missiles on targets simulating enemy vessels.
The statement confirmed that all targets were successfully destroyed, noting that two groups of missile boats launched four cruise missiles as part of the exercise.
These drills are part of the Russian Pacific Fleet’s combat training plan, and come amid escalating tensions in the region.— Ends/Khalid
