Russia raises agricultural export forecast to 54 million tonnes

Moscow, Aug 10 (Petra) — Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture announced
on Monday an increase in its total grain export projection for the
new agricultural season to approximately 54 million tonnes, up from a
previous estimate of 45 million tonnes, driven by sustained global
demand for Russian grain.

Milling wheat accounted for more than 47 million tonnes of the total
projection, the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry added that it aims to expand future agricultural exports
to around 60 million tonnes annually, reinforcing Russia’s position
in global markets and supporting supply stability for importing
countries, particularly in the Middle East.
