Kyiv, July 15 (QNA) – Three people were killed and 17 others wounded by Russian glide bombs, Sumy Oblast Governor Oleh Hryhorov said in a post on Telegram.

Meanwhile, Odesa Oblast Governor Oleh Kiper said Russian forces rained missiles and one-way attack drones on the region for the fifth consecutive day.

He added that the operation resulted in the deaths of three people and injuries to three others, in addition to damaging a warehouse, a gas pipeline, and another building.

In a statement, the Ukrainian Air Force said Russia launched 122 one-way attack drones against the country overnight, 101 of which were shot down, along with two missiles.

Russian forces struck the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk in Odesa Oblast, as well as the Dnipro-Buh port in the south, fuel storage facilities, drone production plants, and supply vessels belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the statement continued.

Russia upped the ante after Ukrainian forces had cranked up attacks in recent days on vessels in the Sea of Azov, a critical waterway used to transport Russian agricultural exports and supply the Crimean Peninsula, triggering Moscow authorities to mull “alternative transport routes”, according to the Russian Agriculture Ministry on Tuesday.

Separately, the United Nations said June recorded the highest civilian death toll in Ukraine since April 2022, as both parties to the conflict continue to exchange daily strikes along the front line. (QNA)
