Amman, Jan. 20 (Petra) – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s strongest condemnation of the demolition of buildings belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) by Israeli occupation forces in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the ministry said in a statement, “The Kingdom renews its rejection of Israeli violations of international and humanitarian norms and laws, and holds the international community responsible for confronting these practices and the Israeli approach based on continuing its crimes against international relief organizations.”
It added: “The Kingdom expresses its support for UNRWA in its humanitarian mission to aid the brotherly Palestinian people, and calls on the international community to protect relief organizations, their staff and their affiliated facilities.”
