Amman, Oct. 5 (Petra) – President of the Senate Faisal Fayez met separately on Sunday with the Ambassador of the Vatican State, Monsignor Giovanni Pietro Dal Toso, and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Andrea Ku?erov?, to discuss cooperation and ways to strengthen relations.
Fayez underlined Jordan’s commitment to enhancing ties with both the Vatican and the Czech Republic and to maintaining coordination and consultation on issues of common interest.
He reviewed the regional situation and the efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to restore security and stability and end the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank. He also underlined His Majesty’s continued efforts to ensure the delivery of humanitarian and relief aid to Gaza and to advance a political solution that enables the Palestinian people to attain their legitimate rights.
The Vatican Ambassador praised His Majesty’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the region and expressed the Vatican’s keenness to strengthen relations and expand cooperation with Jordan in various fields.
The Czech Ambassador underscored her country’s interest in deepening relations with Jordan and increasing joint investments across sectors, commending His Majesty’s ongoing efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
