Amman, September 06 (QNA) – The Jordan-based Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation (AHSF) unveiled Sunday the names of the winners of its Award for Arab Researchers during its 44th cycle, with 12 researchers of both genders hailing from across the Arab world winning the award in six scientific fields.
CEO of AHSF Valentina Kassisieh said that, having dedicated this award throughout more than four decades, the foundation has sought to support Arab scientific research and strengthen the stature of scholars and researchers in their path toward development and progress.
She emphasized that leveraging knowledge and scientific research is the most enduring pathway to building the future and navigating the rapid challenges unfolding in Arab societies.
The number of applicants for this cycle reached 656, while 296 submissions were excluded either for being incomplete or for failing to meet the requirements.
Meanwhile, 360 applications underwent peer review by specialized reviewers from around the globe in accordance with specific and rigorous scientific criteria. (QNA)
