Mogadishu, May 21 (QNA) – Somalia reaffirmed today its firm commitment to the unity and sovereignty of its territory, rejecting any unilateral moves or actions that could affect the country’s legal and political status or contradict international legitimacy and relevant regional and international resolutions.
Somalia strongly condemned the opening by the northwestern region of Somalia, known as Somaliland, of what it described as an “embassy” in occupied Jerusalem.
It said the move is “legally void and rejected in all respects,” stressing that it carries no legal effect and constitutes a provocative act rejected by the Arab and Islamic worlds. (QNA)
