Amman, August 26 (QNA) – HE Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mazen Qadi, met with HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al-Thani.
During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries and emphasized the deep-rooted fraternal and historical ties that bind Qatar and Jordan.
HE Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives affirmed the House’s commitment to developing parliamentary relations with Qatar’s Shura Council, strengthening communication, consultation, and the exchange of expertise and positions on issues of common interest.
For his part, HE Ambassador affirmed Qatar’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and developing parliamentary cooperation, expressing his appreciation for the role played by the House of Representatives in regional and international parliamentary forums.
The meeting was attended by HE First Deputy Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Dr. Khamis Atieh, and HE Chair of the Jordanian-Qatari Parliamentary Brotherhood Committee, Abdulrauf Rbiehat. (QNA)
