Khartoum, 4 August 2026 (SUNA) – Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning Mohamed Nour Abdel Daim chaired the monthly tax collection review meeting, praising the Tax Chamber’s performance during July and calling for continued efforts to improve revenue collection. The meeting, attended by the Secretary-General of the Tax Chamber, senior tax officials, state finance ministers, and state tax directors via videoconference, reviewed tax collection performance and the challenges facing tax administration across the states. The minister commended the coordination between state finance ministries and tax authorities and urged closer cooperation. Secretary-General Badr Al-Tamam Mohamed Saad highlighted ongoing efforts to expand the tax base and accelerate the digitalization of tax operations to enhance revenue collection. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister of State was honored in recognition of his support for tax administration reforms and digital transformation initiatives.BH/BH
