Speaking on the sidelines of the event in Marrakech, Cutrona said the trade show offers “a tremendous platform” for American businesses to explore investment opportunities in Morocco, which she described as a growing digital hub on the continent.
She praised Morocco’s organization of the event as evidence of its leadership in Africa’s digital agenda, highlighting ongoing efforts under the enlightened vision of HM King Mohammed VI to position the country at the forefront of regional tech development.
Referring to a recent meeting in Washington between Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Cutrona said the talks were “an opportunity to reaffirm the long-standing partnership we have with the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of President Donald Trump and His Majesty King Mohammed VI.”
Held under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, GITEX Africa 2025 has drawn more than 1,400 exhibitors from over 130 countries. The event includes sector-focused conferences, creative industry showcases, and forums on digital innovation and artificial intelligence.
Organizers say the exhibition aims to position Morocco as a strategic gateway for tech investment and innovation across Africa.
