Sudan Participates in High-Level Dialogue Forum on Global Development

Beijing, June 17, 2026 (SUNA) — Sudan participated in the High-Level Dialogue Forum on Global Development, held in the People’s Republic of China from June 1 to 14, 2026, with the participation of several countries and regional and international organizations. Sudan’s representative to the forum, Counselor Husni Mustafa Yaqoub, delivered a presentation highlighting Sudan’s strategic potentials, including its geographical location, natural resources, and cultural and human diversity, as well as the opportunities these provide for achieving sustainable development and strengthening regional integration. The forum discussed China’s development experience and the lessons that can be drawn for developing countries, stressing the importance of enhancing international cooperation and transferring modern expertise and technologies in the fields of agriculture, industry, and the digital economy, in support of development efforts and the achievement of related goals. The forum concluded with Sudan’s representative delivering a statement on behalf of the participating countries, reflecting the forum’s deliberations and aspirations to strengthen international partnership for development.BH/BH
