Sudan’s Chargé d’Affaires in Ireland Meets Irish Parliament Speaker

Sudan’s Acting Chargé d’Affaires in Ireland, Omar Ahmed Mohamed, met on Saturday with Speaker of the Irish Parliament, Verona Murphy, where he provided a comprehensive briefing on developments in Sudan and the violations against the Sudanese people with support from certain regional and international actors. The meeting also discussed ways to strengthen parliamentary relations between the two countries, with agreement to work toward establishing a Sudan Parliamentary Friendship Group to support closer ties and broader bilateral cooperation. For her part, the Speaker stressed the importance of continued efforts to achieve peace and stability in Sudan, noting that the Irish Parliament is closely following developments in the country.BH/BH
